Screen printing is a technique where a mesh is used to transfer ink onto a substrate, except in areas made impermeable to the ink by a blocking stencil. It’s often used for t-shirts and posters, but it can be applied to a range of materials.

Screen printing offers vibrant colors even on darker fabrics, durability, and cost-effectiveness for large quantities. It differs from methods like digital printing that is better for small quantities and detailed designs.  We can help you with either method, depending on what’s best for your order.

Manual screen printing is done by hand, one pull at a time, which gives the printer hands-on control. Automatic presses use machinery for consistency and speed, which matters most on larger runs. We print on an automatic press.

Plastisol inks are durable and give a bright, vibrant finish. They sit on top of the fabric. Water-based inks are eco-friendlier and penetrate the fabric for a softer feel but may not be as vibrant as plastisol.  Plastisol is more versatile for more fabric types.

Discharge screen printing uses a bleach-like agent to remove the shirt’s dye before depositing ink, resulting in a softer feel. Traditional screen printing, typically with plastisol ink, sits on top of the fabric.  Note that only 100% cotton can be consistently discharged.  Other fabrics may give undesired results.

Custom colors in screen printing are achieved through ink mixing to match desired shades, often following Pantone Matching System. Special inks like metallic, glow-in-the-dark, or fluorescent can also be used for custom effects.  Special inks can be used for an extra fee.

Ensure your artwork is high resolution (300dpi minimum).  We accept various file formats, including AI, EPS, PDF, PSD, and high-resolution JPEG or PNG. Vector files (AI, EPS) are preferred for the best quality.

For best results, design in the actual print size, convert all text to outlines, and ensure graphics are in vector format. For multi-color designs, separate each color into a different layer.

Screen printing cannot replicate gradient colors or extremely detailed graphics as effectively as digital printing. Also, the number of colors in a design can affect the cost and complexity of the process.

We respect copyright laws. You must own the copyright or have appropriate permissions for any images used in your design.

Screen printing can print gradients and halftones by using a process called halftone printing. This technique converts different tones into small dots of varying densities. Photographs can also be printed, though they may lose some detail.

Standard print locations are full front or back, left or right chest, and sleeve prints. However, we can print in non-traditional locations like collar or hem, if you desire. We’ll guide you in finalizing placement for best results.

We accept all sizes of orders, from small runs to high-volume bulk orders. We will work with you to fulfill your specific needs.

Standard turnaround is 14 calendar days, counted from the last of three things: your quote is approved, your invoice is paid and your final art is approved. Sooner dates may carry rush pricing, which your quote shows next to the standard price.

We can provide mockups of your final design on the selected garments.  To make a printed sample requires a full set up – get ahold of us to learn more.

Changes can be made before the production process begins. Once production has started, changes may not be possible or may incur additional costs.

We offer both shipping and local pickup options. Once your order has shipped, we’ll provide a tracking number so you can follow your order’s progress.

Yes, you can reorder a previous design with changes. Please note that changes may affect the price and production time.

Yes, we can provide blank garment samples for review to ensure you are happy with the quality and fit before committing to a full order.

We can attempt to match an existing screen printed design. Please provide a physical sample for us to reference. Note that exact matches may not always be possible due to varying techniques and materials.

We can handle a range of complexities in screen print designs. For intricate designs, we recommend consulting with our team to ensure the best possible outcome.

To prolong the lifespan of your screen printed garments, we recommend turning them inside out before washing, using cold water, and avoiding high heat when drying. Ironing should be done inside out, avoiding direct contact with the printed design.

We can screen print on a variety of materials including cotton, polyester, blends, and some types of nylon. Each material may interact differently with different inks.

Our standard maximum print size is typically 14″ x 15″. However, we also offer jumbo screen printing for larger designs. If you need help finding the right print size, reach out to us!

We can handle designs with multiple colors. Each color requires a separate screen, so it may increase the cost.

Yes, we offer printing on both sides of a garment. We can also print on sleeves, collars, and other non-traditional locations depending on the garment.

Printing over seams, pockets, or zippers can be challenging due to uneven surfaces, but it’s possible. We recommend discussing your specific needs with our team for best results.

You can mix and match garment sizes and colors within an order as long as the design remains the same. Price may vary depending on garment type and color. Please be aware that not every ink color or design works on all shirt colors.  Ask us for a mockup to see how it would look.

Yes, we can screen print on a variety of items beyond apparel, such as hats, bags, and certain promotional items. Some types work better with a Digital Imprint and traditional screen printing.  Ask us to find out more.

We can print on performance materials and dark-colored garments. Special considerations, such as underbasing for dark fabrics or using specific inks for synthetic materials, may apply.

No. We print in batches, not one piece at a time. If your group wants custom apparel without holding inventory, a team store does that job: members order online while the store is open, then we print everything and ship each order. See our team stores page.

If there’s a problem with your order due to a mistake on our part, we’ll replace the affected items or offer a refund. Please note that customized items can’t be returned if you change your mind.
